A hand-painted 5cm football figure that captures Spain's wonderkid surprisingly well.

Creative Toys - Soccerstarz: Spain Lamine Yamal Figure (406016)
Our verdict

The first thing you notice is how right the kit looks: Spain's deep red, the crest, the little details all land. For around six euros you get a hand-sculpted collectible with its own number, SOC1710 โ€” not something stamped out by the thousand. Just don't expect a rugged toy; this is more shelf piece than kickabout.

Reasons to buy

  • Officially licensed Spain kit with accurate deep red, crest and detailing
  • Hand-sculpted and hand-painted, with its own collector number SOC1710
  • Compact 5cm size that fits any shelf or collection
  • Friendly price, around six euros a figure

Reasons to consider

  • The thin arms are fragile and can snap with rough play
  • Static figure โ€” no moving parts, purely for display
  • Facial likeness is recognisable but not pinpoint portrait work

Small in size, big on detail

SoccerStarz has been turning out these 5cm footballers for years, and the Lamine Yamal from the Spain line is a tidy addition to a range that now runs into hundreds of players. Each figure is individually sculpted and painted by hand, and it shows in the kit: the trademark dark red home shirt, the national crest, the trims โ€” it all checks out. The figure carries collector number SOC1710, which slots it neatly into the wider series collectors love to chase.

Who it's for and what to watch

The weak spot โ€” quite literally โ€” is the arms. Collectors note they're thin and fragile and can break off under heavy handling. For a four-year-old wanting a kitchen-floor kickabout, that's worth bearing in mind; sitting on a shelf, nothing happens. The facial likeness is solid for the scale, though you won't get a museum portrait out of two centimetres of moulded plastic.

Who is it for?

Perfect for the Spain or Yamal fan, and for collectors completing the SoccerStarz range. It also makes a neat little gift under ten euros. Anyone after a sturdy play figure for rough-and-tumble use should pick something tougher.

FAQ

How big is the figure exactly?

Roughly 5cm tall โ€” genuinely pocket-sized, fits in a palm and takes up almost no shelf space.

Is it suitable for young children?

Officially rated 4 and up, but the thin arms are breakable. It's less ideal for little kids playing rough; as a collectible or display piece it's fine.
